Planned Giving

Planned Giving

Planned gifts include those made through your will, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, gifts of life insurance, gifts from bank or investment accounts and gifts of retirement plans. These gifts require thoughtful and deliberate planning.

LSS Foundation

The LSS Foundation is charged with receiving planned gifts for Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Funds held by the Foundation provide financial support for current LSS programs and continued support for future years. For more information about how you can leave a lasting legacy, even after you’re gone, contact Amanda Holland at 414-325-3019 or amanda.holland@lsswis.org.

Wills and Bequests

A bequest may be in the form of cash, securities or property. When writing your will, specify that LSS is to receive a certain amount or percentage of your estate or particular assets. Deferred Gifts

Deferred gifts are made in the present, but received by LSS in the future. While some deferred gifts are simple and straightforward, others are more complex and can provide tax benefits and even income to the donor, beneficiary or both. In addition to helping LSS advance its mission, depending on the arragnement you chose, you can also reduce your income taxes and avoid capital gains tax.
